GroupX Class Descriptions
Boot Camp - This is a challenging, highly structured, athletic based class with no choreography involved. This class alternates intervals of cardio with intervals of weight training.
Cardio Combo - This class includes a variety of cardio exercises, step, kickbox, jump rope, weights or other innovative cross-training techniques.
Core - A 15-minute class concentrating on the muscles of the abs and back.
Cycle - Our indoor cycle class simulates outdoor riding with sprints, hills/climbs, intervals and endurance techniques.
Cycle MS150 - This indoor cycle class simulates the route of the MS150 with sprints, hills/climbs, intervals and endurance techniques.
Cycle, Strength, Stretch - This class consists of 20-minute segments on the bike, weight training and stretching for a complete total body workout.
Hatha Yoga - This class incorporates Yoga postures, breathing exercises, and a mind focus to improve balance, strength and flexibility.
HIIT - High-intensity interval training mixes cardiovascular exercise strategy alternating short periods of intense anaerobic exercise with less intense recovery periods, until too exhausted to continue.
Pilates - This class is designed to increase flexibility, build strength and tone muscles without adding bulk. Focuses on using the core to move through each exercise.
Pilates/Yoga - This class combines techniques and movements form Mat Pilates and Yoga.
Power ½ Hour - Higher end fitness level class that uses intense cardio intervals with strength training to maximize results
Power Pump - This is barbell class focuses on low weight and high reps that will sculpt, tone, and strengthen your entire body.
Power Yoga - A vigorous workout that develops strength, flexibility, and helps develop a lean body. Students will learn Sun Salutations and flow into various postures. Some postures held longer to maximize strength and flexibility gains, all done with the concept of mind, body, breath connection. Modifications are suggested for all levels.
Sports Conditioning - Sports Conditioning is achieved through the combination of strength training and aerobic conditioning. It is meant to enhance an individual's strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, speed, and power, which can be carried over into all sports.
Step N Roll - This high energy, fast paced class will enhance your cardio endurance. Routines are choreographed to offer full body exercise with movements on and around the step. Finish the class off with Foam Rolling. This technique helps release tight muscles, connective tissue and trigger points with self-massage.
Tabata HIIT - Tabata training is a form of high-intensity interval training. It consists of eight rounds of high-intensity exercises in a specific 20-seconds-on, 10-seconds-off interval. It may only take four minutes to complete a Tabata circuit, but those four minutes well push your body to its limit.
TRXpress - Born in the Navy SEALS, TRX Suspension Training is a method of leveraged body weight exercises. You will perform hundreds of exercises that build power, strength, flexibility, balance, mobility and prevent injuries.
Zumba - This Cardio-Latin fusion class features aerobic interval training to maximize fat burning and total body toning, all to incredible music with choreography that is easy to learn.
