Welcome to Cardio Trek 24!
Oct. 28 - Dec. 8

This is a fantastic virtual and in-person challenge that allows you to participate anywhere.

Let's Get Moving!

Participants will have fun either walking, running or biking. Any activity logged into Strava or submitted by Form sheet will count. Members with the most total activities at the end of the 6-weeks will receive bp fitness logo socks.

This year Cardio Trek is going longer and adding in activities from the Fall fun runs and HFF. So by being part of the bpfc Cardio Club on Strava, any activites done by participating in the fun run or any of the workouts or cardio activities from HFF will count for your activities here in Cardio Trek!!

If you are not wanting to use the Strava app that is ok. We will have a forms sheet for you to put in your activities for each day.

We will be tracking participants frequency, distance, and time.
  • Leaderboard - we will recognize the top 3 in Time, Distance and Activity categories.
  • Download the free Strava app  Join bpfc Cardio Club to start tracking your activities!
  • Weekly updates, tips and articles to complement and encourage your workouts--posted on Yammer and in Strava!
  • Prizes! -- bp fitness socks!

*For your walks to count on the Strava leaderboard, you will need to log any walks in Strava as "running."

Fall Run Series
The bp fitness will have 3 Holiday Fall Runs starting with The Zombie Run/Walk on Halloween Thursday October 31st with 2 times at 7:00am and 11:30am. It will start at Energy Park under the pavilion and run through Terry Hersey Park. There will be a box onsite and also in the fitness centers to collect Halloween candy with supporting Treats for the Troops. Don't worry if you want to wait until after the trick or treaters that night to donate any left over candy, the boxes will be in the fitness centers and in the lobbies for donations.

Then on Thursday November 14th we will have the Turkey Trot at Energy Park with 7:00am and 11:30am times to choose from to walk or run. This run/walk will support can food donations. We will have a box at Energy Park and also in the fitness centers for can food drop off.

The last run/walk in the Fall Run Series is our own Reindeer Run/walk on Thursdays December, 12th with only 1 start time at 11:30am. It is usually a bit chilly and windy to run at 7am. We will have a box at Energy Park and in the fitness centers for toy donations to help the Child Advocacy program to collect toys.

This is a good way to start your day with a run or get with your co-workers for a nice mid day break and get outside for a walk.

**If interested in volunteering then email stephen.salazar@bp.com or taylor.walker@bp.com.
