Josh Thompson -  Account Manager
I grew up in a small Wisonsin town with no gyms and very little information about exercise. In junior high, I asked my dad for a weight bench and weights - and have been working out ever since. I read everything I could get my hands on about exercise and strength training. I then discovered the kinesiology program at the University of Wisconsin, and, while there, got my first fitness job as a personal trainer at the local YMCA. I started working at the bp fitness program in 1995, and have always loved sharing what I know about exercise and fitness - and putting it to good use helping others.

Stephen Salazar - Site Leader
Born and raised in Houston, I grew up being one of the faster kids on the playground in a foot race. I played baseball and basketball for several years before finding a true passion for cross country and track. I competed in numerous race meets from middle school through my first year in college at Stephen F. Austin State University, where I recieved my bachelors in Health Science and minor in Nutrition. I entered corporate wellness in 2014 and have worked with a variety of clients of different backgrounds and skill levels. I truly enjoy helping others achieve a healthy and functional lifestyle. You don't need to have extensive knowledge in exercise to obtain your goals, you                              simply need to be consistent and have a motivated attitude to help guide you.

Edie Garcia-Gutierres -  Director of Group Fitness
Born and raised in Los Angeles, I grew up loving outdoor activities. It was either hiking mountain ranges or beach volleyball. I began taking dance, yoga and group fitness classes as a shy teen and soon fell in love with it. My first career was in restaurant management. Being active helped my work performance, eased my stress, improved my health and my mood. When I moved to Houston in 2008, I had the opportunity to blend my restaurant background and love for fitness together working for a large fitness corporation. Soon after, I made a total shift into the fitness industry with a goal of introducing others to the joy of movement in various spaces such ast 55+                communities, private country clubs and corporate wellness sites. To me, there is no better place to meet friends,                        laugh, sweat, move and find encouragement than in a group fitness class.

I am an Iowa native with a diverse athletic background. I grew up playing traditional sports like soccer, softball, basketball, and track. I’ve also had the pleasure of coaching sports and was fortunate to compete at the collegiate level in soccer. During College I had the pleasure of working in physical therapy, helping people with chronic illnesses and recover from multiple injuries. After graduating with a Masters degree in Exercise Physiology, I became a personal trainer through ACSM to help people achieve their health and fitness goals. I’ve been in                corporate fitness since 2013, and love helping somebody go through an experience that makes them happy, confident and strong.

Tara Evans - Exercise Specialist
My passion for fitness began when I swam with my high school swim team. I went on to become a lifeguard, then worked in a fitness center teaching and personal training. Taylor Walker -  Exercise Specialist

I'm originally from Waller, Texas. Being 1 of 6 children, we were constantly competing with one another. I took that competitive spirit into youth sports such as karate, basketball, and wrestling and later became a scholarship track and field athlete at the U of L in Lafayette. My sophomore year of college, I became a personal trainer and fell in love with fitness coaching. As a collegiate athlete, I struggled with my own aches and pains from repeatedly breaking down my body in practice and competition. As I learned more about fitness and pain management, I implemented a lot of that in my own practice which improved my quality of life and athletic performance. I continued to use that       knowledge over the years to help a variety of people of all ages and backgrounds to exercise or compete with little or no pain. The joy of seeing others' lives improve with their overall fitness and health has become a major source of happiness and empowerment for me.
