In 2019 BP Fitness Center members can earn points* towards their 1000 point HealthPlus program requirement. Prevention is good for your health and wallet! Stay tuned for additional activity point opportunities!

Personal Training
Who is eligible: BP employees, non-Medicare eligible retirees and BP spouses/domestic partners. All exercise to be performed in either the WL 1 and/or Helios Plaza Fitness Centers. MUST be BP Fitness Center Member to participate.

 
  • Program Description: One-0n-One, Personal Training. Offered by certified & degreed Fitness Specialists-- who are part of the BP Fitness Center staff. Held year round in the WL 1 and Helios Plaza Fitness Centers. Fitness Specialist will set-up initial program and then follow-up with trainee intermittantly for regular program rechecks. 
    • Required criteria for participant
    • Participant must perform prescribed training routine a minimum of 2 sessions/week for 8 weeks
    • Participant is responsible for completing tracking card after each session to include date, set, rep and weight
    • Participant can have no more than a 2 week break during 8 week session; travel routines are available as well.
    • Participant is responsible for contacting Fitness specialist to re-schedule missed appointments.
    • Participants are allowed 1 re-do during the year if for some reason they could not complete the 1st 8 week session.
    • Participant will sign a contract committing to all of the above mentioned requirements.

  • Program Close-out – Participation Authentication
    • At the completion of the specified criteria for the program, Fitness Specialists will sign finished program card and keep on file.
    • Participant will be issued a code from the Fitness center staff to enter into their StayWell Points Bank to receive125 points. 
    • This program can be done twice per year.

GROUP EXERCISE PROGRAM
Who is eligible: BP employees, non-Medicare eligible retirees and BP spouses/domestic partners. All exercise MUST be performed in either the WL 1 and/or Helios Plaza Fitness Centers. MUST be BP Fitness Center Member to participate.

  • Class & Program Description: 
    • Our program offers 41 different Group Exercise classes throughout the year
    • 4 sessions throughout the year lasting about 8-10 weeks and with a week break in between each session
    • Classes are 45 minutes to an hour in duration
    • Attendance logs maintained on a quarterly basis
    • All classes are conducted by nationally certified instructors who must maintain an approval rating of 90% or higher (excellent & good responses only) by participants Instructors rated on several criteria including
      • Safety
      • Attention to Student Form
      • Instructor Form
      • Ability to show modifications for all levels
      • Professionalism
      • Communication
      • Music
      • Ability to motivate
      • Cueing
      • Approachability

FITNESS CENTER VISITS
  • Program Description – participant logs 24 visits to the BP Fitness Center in a 3 month period of time (beginning 1/1/18).**
    • Participant must exercise during the visit
    • Log-in records are run upon request
    • Participants can check with Fitness Center staff during the year for a progress report
    • Participants can earn 125 points for 24 visits during a 3 month quarter during the year.
    • Participant will be issued a code from the Fitness center staff to enter into their StayWell Points Bank to receive125 points.
    • This program can be done twice per year.

WEIGHT WATCHERS
Who is eligible: BP employees, BP spouses, and BP Retirees

  • Program Description: Weekly meetings at the WestLake campus lead by a Weight Watcher Leader. Same topics covered as Weight Watcher’s centers.
    • Participant can earn 125 points for attending 12 weekly meetings in a year or reaching their goal weight and lifetime status and doing monthly weigh ins and staying within 2 lbs of their goal weight. 
  • Required criteria for participant
    • Participant must weigh-in and attend 12 weekly meetings either at BP or at a Weight Watcher center or reach their goal weight and lifetime status and do monthly weigh-ins and stay within 2 lbs over their goal weight. 
    • Participant will sign up for a monthly pass or already be an active lifetime member with Weight Watchers.
    • Program Close-out – Participation Authentication Participant can show their stamped/dated cards or get a printout of attendance from Weight Watchers. Deeya Maple will award each participant who meets program criteria with a signed certificate saying they have met the requirements.
    • Participants can earn a maximum of 250 points per year.

*Must be a BP Fitness Center member to participate. Exercise must be performed at WL1 or Helios Plaza Fitness Centers. Maximum of 500 pts can be earned per year between the programs. Talk to a Fitness Center staff member for more details.

Please note, the sharing of codes is prohibited and local activity event points are audited to insure honesty from all participants. 
 
In order to redeem your code for points, please follow the instructions listed below:
Step 1. Login to the StayWell Portal
Step 2: Select “Programs” 
Step 3: Select “Local Activities”
Step 4: Select your site or Local Activity
Step 5: Click “Continue”
Step 6: Enter in your Local Activity Code to one of the unused 75 point local activity blocks
